Hello!
My name is Allie Chow, and I’m a Los Angeles-based production designer and photographer with professional experience in both set design, art direction, and studio and event photography.
I’ve used art to express myself since I was little, but I recently honed my skills earning my Global Communications degree from Chapman University, with minors in Production Design and Creative & Cultural Industries.
Photography has always been a means for me to explore the world. I often enjoy capturing specific emotions: the cheer of a holiday photo or the awe of a breathtaking landscape.
If my photos seek to explore places and people, I see each choice of costume, prop, and decor on set as an opportunity for audiences to explore a story. While an overall theme is indispensable, I also take care to ensure that each element of the production can communicate something unique.
Previously, I have worked as an art team lead for various independent films and television productions, a Project Coordinator for Aref & Associates Design Studio, and a photographer for both Chapman University’s Strategic Marketing Department and the portrait company Picture People.
